New Birth Church

Everybody is a somebody at New Birth

On July 9, 1998, God gave Pastor Moore the vision to organize a church to help win the lost to Christ throughout our city. On August 11, 1998, Group Bible studies commenced at the South Mesa Chapel on Camp Pendleton. On October 1, 1998, in the home of the Moore’s, Greater Antioch was organized as a mission church and Reverend Jeffrey Moore received as its first Pastor, with the following charter members present: Reverend Jeffrey Moore, Mary Moore, Karla Deloatch, Reverend Chris Wardell, Beverly Wardell, Jannelle Spells, Samantha Gill, Symone Gill, Mark Gill, Reba Morrison, Jeff Taylor and Shirley Perry.

On October 12, 1998 with the sponsorship of Rev. Don Conley & the Encanto Baptist Church, Greater Antioch was received as a church into the California Southern Baptist Association unanimously.

On January 22, 1999, Greater Antioch was received into church membership with the Progressive District National Missionary Baptist Association, enjoying dual fellowship alliance.

As we enter into our 20th year as a church in God’s vineyard, God is truly moving us to destiny that He has given through vision and the refreshing of the spirit in us through our name – New Birth. We are now more driven in our missionary outreach and after many years of tolling in Vista, God has prepared this new home for us in Oceanside. God has built this edifice as a sign that our labor has not been in vain. We thank God for the many ministries, churches, Pastors, Preachers and delivered Saints of God, He has placed under our ministry and care.

And God continues to bless this church and its congregation over and over again. We can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us beyond our belief.
